Who is Raw Identity?

That would be me. Louise Edwards. Hi.

My passion for coaching came from seeing a pattern around me: great people, great professionals, starting to think about where they could make a different kind of impact. I was, if you're wondering, one of them.

Some wanted to find goals outside of their career so far, around their family and their community. Some wanted the variety of a portfolio role. Some wanted a radical change in their life to something more meaningful for them, quitting corporate leadership for a role that was more in touch with their values. Some knew that they could do more good by expanding their professional influence and prestige.

My goal was simple: to help others achieve their goals.

So, who am I?

A former Director and C-Suite Executive

From a junior caseworker to the director of a wide portfolio of operational functions, I've led transformation and improved productivity and well-being among front-line staff and highly technical experts. My focus is on delivery, turning ideas into actions into impact for those we serve.

A strategic leader

Thought-leadership, creating a prominent platform to promote policy innovations and, in some cases, seeing those policies put into law - these have all drawn on my gaining influence, expertise and insight. Plus I beat my fear of public speaking to become an accomplished media and conference presenter.

An inclusive mentor

With the privilege of a senior role, I've been able to dedicate time to mentoring, coaching and supporting others. As a queer woman I've experienced my unique share of challenges - and occasionally downright hostility - meaning I believe passionate in inclusivity and doing my part to help those who come from diverse backgrounds to have a powerful voice.

A disaster, at times

Yeah, I've messed up more than a few things in all aspects of my life. These have made me an avid collector of feedback and a firm believer in personal growth.

Old, according to my kids

I grew up in the 90s as a latchkey kid. Like all of Gen X, I've navigated through insane periods of technological growth, societal change and economic shocks. I remain optimistic, even about AI. In fact, I'm passionate about the good technology can do and I've delivered major digital infrastructure transformations as an Executive Director. They say wisdom comes with age. I'm still waiting for that.
